My wife and i have been in Italy for 5 days and this was by far our best meal. The house wine was great and each serving was better than the prior one. The owner asked us how everything was (the first person to do that since we have been here) and offered us some lemoncello! From the appetizers to the pappardelle wild boar ragu to the meatball with roasted potatoes, everything was spectacular! My highest recommendation.

Cozy little restaurant in Florence, highly recommend booking in advance or arriving early. The dishes are full of flavor, and the lasagna was really good. We tried the Florentine steak and loved it! Staff were attentive and friendly, and the space (both indoors and outside) is charming and pleasant.

A cozy Florence gem Osteria The rabbit stew (daily special) was deeply flavorful, tender, and perfectly balanced with bright herbs and a slow-cooked richness that felt both rustic and refined. The fresh potato gnocchi with yellow squash were light, pillowy, and sauced just enough to let the potato shine while the squash added a sweet, seasonal contrast. Both dishes showed clear attention to technique and fresh ingredients. Their house red paired nicely with both courses, fruity and smooth without overpowering the food. The tiramisu was very good — creamy and well-extracted — slightly short of the best we’ve had so far in Italy but a strong, satisfying finish. The dining room is cozy (tables were close but reasonable distance) and welcoming with an easygoing Florentine charm. Service was attentive and not intrusive (European standard). Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic, well-executed Tuscan cooking with thoughtful daily specials and a friendly neighborhood feel.

Our VRBO host, Martina, recommended this restaurant and we are beyond thrilled that she did. We were only in Florence for 4 nights, and 2 of those dinners we ate here. The food is absolutely fantastic (if you're craving the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina- absolutely order it from Gustaosteria) We ate across the menu, and every dish is absolutely wonderful. Make a reservation for 8:00pm or later (request an outside table) and enjoy the people watching, along with the amazing meal. We are already planning another holiday in Florence and we will definitely be dining at Gustaosteria again.

We were just walking from Palazzo Pitti amd stumbled upon this place. The staff were ever so friendly and cooked baby food for us. The ambiance is great and there is a nice square adjacent to it. And of course, the food was great.
